2025 Ann Lambton Memorial Lecture

A British Diplomatic Perspective on Iran’s Position & Policies in the Middle East Since 7 October 2023

 

Durham University’s Institute for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and the British Institute for Persian Studies proudly invite you to another round of the annual series of Ann Lambton Memorial Lectures, delivered by Her Majesty’s former ambassador to Iran, Qatar and Yemen, Mr. Nicholas Hopton.

 

About the speaker:
Nicholas Hopton joined the FCO in 1989 and has also served as Ambassador to Yemen and at the British Embassies in Paris, Rome and Rabat. He has worked on national security issues in the Cabinet Office, led the International Organisations Department in the FCO and was Private Secretary to the Minister for Europe.

 

The event will take place in person at Durham University, Mill Hill Lane, Room 452. The event is free to attend, but booking is necessary.
The lecture will take place between 3:30-6PM.
