Notice is hereby given that the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the British Institute of Persian Studies will be held at the British Academy, on Thursday 20^th of November 2025 at 6:00pm.

The AGM will consider and, if thought fit, pass the following resolutions, which will be proposed as ordinary resolutions:

1. To receive the Institute’s annual accounts for the financial year 2024-2025 together with the President’s report and examiners’ report on those accounts;
2. To reappoint the examiners;
3. To reappoint Mr Hossein Hamedani as Honorary Treasurer;
4. To announce the results of the Council elections. Instructions to submit nominations have been sent out to members. Information about the candidates and a link to vote online will be circulated in due course.

The Meeting will be followed by a lecture (in-person and online via Zoom) from Prof Ramin Jahanbegloo (Mahatma Gandhi Centre for Nonviolence and Peace Studies; Jindal Global University, Delhi; University of St Andrews) titled The Idea of Persia. Please register for the event here.
