Zal and the Phoenix – Showcase evening

BIPS is delighted to be sponsoring an upcoming showcase of Zal and the Phoenix. This event is aimed at raising awareness and support for an ambitious multi-media theatrical work by Shohreh Shakoory, due for completion later this year. There will be a live performance demonstrating some of the music featured in the retelling of this story, as well as a preview of the animations that are being created to bring it to life.

The showcase will take place on Friday 4th March at 7pm at Rudolf Steiner House, London. There will be brief introductory talks from BIPS’s President, Prof. Charles Melville, as well as Dr Firuza Melville Director of the Cambridge Shahnama Centre, plus an overview from the Zal creative team and a short preview performance. The showcase will then be followed by a drinks reception. The programme of the event can be downloaded using the button at the top of the page.
