Dr Mariano Errichiello, PhD (SOAS), was elected Trustee of BIPS in November 2024. He is the Shapoorji Pallonji Lecturer in Zoroastrianism, Co-Chair and Executive Director of the Shapoorji Pallonji Institute of Zoroastrian Studies, SOAS University of London. Mariano‘s research interests focus on Zoroastrian history, rituals, texts and communities of the modern period. By drawing upon theories and methods of anthropology, sociology, history and the study of language, the primary aim of his research is to bring textuality into dialogue with religion as lived by people, acknowledging multiple ontologies and adopting innovative approaches.
