BIOGRAPHY

After an engineering degree at Cambridge, David Gye has had careers as soldier, civil engineer, investment banker (most recently at Morgan Stanley) and independent strategic consultant; he is now retired from professional life and acts as a Trustee of BIPS and four other charities. He has had a sustained interest in Iran, and been a member of BIPS since 1969, with a primary focus on mediaeval and early modern architecture, carrying out fieldwork and travelling in Iran extensively. Mr Gye has published two papers in Iran on architectural subjects.
