Notice is hereby given that the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the British Institute of Persian Studies will be held at the British Academy, on Monday 28^th of November 2022 at 6.00pm.

The AGM will consider and, if thought fit, pass the following resolutions, which will be proposed as ordinary resolutions:

1. To receive the Institute’s annual accounts for the financial year 2021-2022 together with the President’s report and auditors’ report on those accounts;
2. To reappoint the auditors;
3. To reappoint Mr Hossein Hamedani as Honorary Treasurer;
4. To announce the results of the Council elections. Instructions to submit nominations have been sent out to members. Information about the candidates and a link to vote online will be circulated in due course.

The Meeting will be followed by a lecture (in-person and online via Zoom) from Dr Vesta Sarkhosh-Curtis titled Rivalling Rome: Parthian coins and culture. Please register for the event here. A recording of the discussion will also be made available to members. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session. More details about the lecture will be shared with BIPS members shortly.
